Drummer Matt Johnson and The New Jet Set, featuring Adryon de León, present “Swingin’ The Disney Songbook” in an evening of retro-cool jazz interpretations of beloved songs from Disney animated films. Featuring a world-class quartet that combines virtuosic musicianship and charismatic personalities punctuated by delightful movie images and period footage, The New Jet Set–‘Swingin’ the Disney Songbook’ is a dynamic tour-de-force of musical style and taste.
Experience a jazz tribute with compelling storytelling of songs from the animated films we love, including: 101 Dalmatians, Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Aristocats, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Coco, Dumbo, Jungle Book, Lady and the Tramp, Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Toy Story, and Winnie the Pooh.
Retro meets modern with captivating technique and creativity. It’s like Walt Disney and Hugh Hefner threw a jazz party!

Over formative years, musical theater has infused Adryon de León’s life resulting in a unique theatrical and soulful sound. She is a featured principal vocalist/performer for the Disneyland Resort, has performed at the Hollywood Bowl and provided background vocals for Macy Gray, Patti Austin, The Growlers, George Clinton, and most recently, performed with Idina Menzel. Her featured vocals can be found on the song “If Only You Could Save Me” from the multi-Oscar nominated film, Mank.

Drummer, author, and music educator Matt Johnson, lauded as “a hurricane on sticks!” (the Los Angeles Times) is equally versed in all forms of jazz, pop and world drumming styles and has performed with a range of entertainers, from singers Julie Andrews and Andy Williams and Surf-rock pioneers Jan and Dean to big band legends Billy May and Les Brown. He is a founding member of the Tony Guerrero Quintet which is again touring with Golden Globe- and Emmy Award-winning actress/comedienne Jane Lynch through December 2023.
