MAD.KAT Gallery x Hollywood Cool open house reception February 17 from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM, featuring Duke Spirits and Wayne Estate Family Wines. No ticket or reservation required.

Hollywood Cool: John R. Hamilton's photographic works are often described as sexy, intimate, and timeless. As one of the 20th century’s most prolific photographers, Hamilton gained renown for capturing images of iconic celebrities relaxing at home or behind the scenes on over 70 film sets across the western United States from the 1940s to the 1990s. In 2014, a group of enthusiasts acquired the entire collection from the Hamilton estate with the mission to promote, celebrate his body of work, and preserve the archive for future generations.

A selection from Hamilton's extensive portfolio will be showcased at MAD.KAT Gallery from February 17 through March 10, 2024. The exhibit, titled "Hollywood Cool," will feature photographs from Hamilton's over 100,000 image archive of the most recognizable celebrities.

There’s a strapping, young Clint Eastwood washing his car, Brigitte Bardot cooling her feet, and steely-eyed Steve McQueen looking right down the lens. Other iconic celebrities include Paul Newman, Elizabeth Taylor, Ann-Margret, Elvis Presley, Kirk Douglas, Dean Martin, Natalie Wood and many more.
