Axiom Desert House, the systems-built jewel by Turkel Design, opens its doors with a series of exclusive talks where Joel and Meelena Turkel will personally walk you through the energy- and material-efficient strategies that make their net-zero, fossil fuel-free home simultaneously cutting-edge, livable, and replicable.
While experiencing the indoor/outdoor prefabricated oasis—the couple’s personal residence and a Living Lab for Turkel Design—you’ll hear how they employed panelized prefab construction, passive strategies, and carefully conceived, multifunctional spaces to yield an innovative, net-zero energy house that feels like home.
You’ll then embark on a guided tour of the home—observing these strategies, products, materials, and details for yourself—with the opportunity to ask the designers questions along the way.
