Kaptur the Moment! Architecture and Design Council Cocktail Party

Celebrate the work of Hugh Kaptur with the Palm Springs Art Museum’s Architecture and Design Council (ADC) as we take over Kaptur Court for a night of modernist revelry! Tour Kaptur-designed homes, dance in the streets to the Gand Band, and enjoy an open bar, catered heavy hors d’oeuvres, and more. Capture your Kaptur Modernist style as we celebrate five decades of Kaptur's work. We invite you to dress according to the mod style of your favorite decade! 

Recently completed in the Little Tuscany neighborhood, Kaptur Court translates Hugh Kaptur’s mid-20th century residential design into the vocabulary of the 21st century, with larger spaces, taller ceilings, new materials, and the latest technologies. Floor plans are similar to those Kaptur designed in the 1950s but the square footage has increased form 1,586 square feet to 2,150 square feet. These architectural gems will excite and entertain. And we will have an opportunity to tour the houses and their generous one-third acre private landscapes. 

Kaptur Court will be transformed into the ADC’s Modernism Week Street Party featuring the Gand Band, a dance area, cocktail bars and food stations, and signature ADC party events including an architectural experiences auction, a “Modern” trivia game, and best of all, an opportunity to chat with PSAM/ADC members, homeowners, and neighbors.

Our event will coincide with the Hugh Kaptur: Organic Desert Architecture exhibition at the Architecture and Design Center (300 South Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs) on view February 2 through June 17, 2019. Valet parking and limited street parking available at event location.
Alcohol will be served – no one under 21 permitted.
No pets please.
Photography is at the discretion of each homeowner.
Please no food or drinks inside the homes.
No smoking at the party site.
Party venue is wheelchair accessible. Home interiors do not meet ADA standards.

262-266 W. Vista Chino, one block west of N. Palm Canyon.  Valet parking will be provided.
