Architect Lance O'Donnell, AIA has creatively sited this spectacular home, completed in 2023, amid the rugged terrain of the hillside landscape using design-forward ideas to embody an ‘essence of place.’ Positioning the home for the client's contemporary lifestyle, with a nod to Palm Springs' Desert Modernist Architects of the midcentury, O’Donnell has employed contemporary materials to complement the hillside location while creating a home that is both sustainable and a joy to live in. Capurro + Davis Design, in collaboration with the clients, have created a seductive and holistic interior design scheme that works hand-in-hand with the architecture.
Members of the design team will be present to answer questions and guide guests through the home's unique interiors and expansive grounds. Open to the general public for the first time, this tour will be informative and inspiring. Tour goers will gain an insider's perspective into the design processes that facilitated the site selection, building material choices and the creation of the interior design scheme including paint colors, wallcoverings, furniture and fabrics.
