Join us for PS ModCom’s major fundraiser of the year, a spectacular party at one of the desert’s hidden architectural gems, the newly re-imagined former Community Church. This midcentury modern masterpiece was designed in 1960 by renowned architect Philmer J. Ellerbroek and was the recipient of the 2023 Adaptive reuse award by the Palm Springs Modern Committee.
Pass through original spider-leg beams and lollipop trees into a now state-of-the-art recording studio for an evening of cocktails, delicious food and, of course, great music. Dance through the decades with renowned DJ David J of Bauhaus and Love + Rockets fame as he spins his vintage collection of 45’s throughout the night along with a live performance.
And if that’s not enough of a reason to party, none other than the exceptional artist Shag, appearing in person, has been commissioned to create a print of The Church for everyone attending this rockin’ night.
Since its conversion, The Church Studio has been the recording studio of choice for many legendary performers such as Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Debbie Harry, Collective Soul, and many more…and now you can live that rock and roll life for one fabulous night.
