The Kings Point community is committed to stewarding William Krisel’s design and architecture. Today we present to you several homes in which the interiors have been extensively renovated and refreshed to meet the needs of the current residents. But this work has been done consistently with Krisel’s philosophy.
Krisel believed that architecture should not be static. He believed the secret to good architecture was the ability to adapt to changing times without losing the essence of the original design. The homes you will see successfully honor this philosophy.
Much of the interior work has involved infrastructure improvements (wiring, plumbing, energy efficient windows, mechanicals, etc.). In each case, the architectural integrity of the original design was respected. In some cases the owners consulted the original blueprints to ensure that past transgressions were changed back to the original form.
The homes you will see at King’s Point maintain the character of William Krisel’s original design. But they also incorporate modern materials and technology that make the buildings more efficient and sustainable. We believe Krisel would have been pleased.
