Randy Cohen, vice president of research of Americans for the Arts, will discuss the eye-popping findings of the new Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 study, which measured the economic impact — on employment, tax revenue, and household income — of spending by Coachella Valley nonprofit arts organizations and their audiences.

Local arts and culture leaders will discuss how they will leverage this compelling data into their storytelling to individual donors, business sponsors, grant-giving agencies and foundations, and public officials and agencies to encourage investment in the arts.

The informative and uplifting presentation, organized by the nonprofit California Desert Arts Council, is also a call to advocate for arts and culture–friendly policies.
