Cody Court "Historic Cody Homes" Rancho Mirage

Welcome to Cody Court (originally known as the 10th Fairway Condominiums), a unique cluster of eight condos designed by modernist architect, William F. Cody in 1969–1970. Of the eight condominiums, seven (7) of them will be open for viewing. These homes are on the 10th fairway of the Tamarisk Country Club. On this tour, you will also view two (2) homes which have never been open during Modernism Week. Cody's style was unique, his residential projects integrated simplicity of form, natural light, and extensive use of glass displaying a seamless connection between interior and exterior.  

In these homes you will see the transparency and lightness William Cody was known for, with floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors and an open atrium; you will also see a slight change in his style by combining his minimalist modernism with a Spanish-style adobe feel with recessed windows, and the use of slump stone block walls. These homes are well over 3,000 square feet, with three large bedrooms, all of which have ensuite bathrooms, each home is distinctly Cody, no two are alike.

The neighborhood has a plethora of midcentury and modernist architecture; it's a beautiful stroll along our paved road as you tour the homes of Cody Court.

Things to Know
There are seven (7) homes on the tour.
Cody Court Driveway, entrance is on Palmview Rd just around the corner from Chappel Rd, Rancho Mirage.
Plenty of street parking is available along Palmview Rd.
Please allow 15 minutes before tour time to check-in.
Please no food, drinks, smoking or pets permitted.
This event is for all ages.
Private homes are not wheelchair assessable.
Bathrooms in homes are not available.
There are some exterior and/or interior steps.
Photography is at the discretion of the homeowners.
