Details
Marina Coates has a degree in architecture, a passion for classic television, an obsession for set design, and a talent for 3D graphics. She brings it all together in this richly detailed and unique program of video tours of accurately recreated residences from our favorite midcentury television shows.  Step back in time as Marina guides us through the living spaces of the Petries (Dick Van Dyke Show), the Ricardos (I Love Lucy), the Stephens (Bewitched), the Cleavers (Leave It to Beaver), the Bradys (Brady Bunch), and more.

Honey, I’m Home! is a fun and fresh take on Modernism Week’s commitment to architecture and design that recalls our collective past. It’s not just a nostalgic romp through the familiar. You’ll also experience the unfamiliar, like:
  • Rooms and locales referenced in the shows but never seen
  • Views of the sets from angles previously unseen by viewers, including from the actors’ perspective
  • Complete floorplans
  • True or intended colors of shows shot in black-and-white
  • Details shown thousands of times on screen but rarely noticed
  • Accurately visualized “fourth walls”—the ones never seen because it’s where cameras and crew are positioned
Plus, you’ll experience extras created exclusively for Modernism Week, like:
  • Live commentary illuminating each tour
  • Between-tour interviews for context and insight
  • World premiere material
  • Audience Q&A
  • Related celebrity interviews, behind-the-scenes outtakes, reviews of set design changes over time, and some surprises
Program producer and host Eric Chiel previously brought to Modernism Week Anne Serling’s My Dad, Rod Serling and Ron Hicklin: The Most Famous Voice You Never Heard Of. This program continues his exploration of American popular culture.
