Karen Nepacena–interior designer, Eichler specialist, and author of Midcentury Modern Style: An Approachable Guide to Inspired Rooms–will present design guideposts and tips for creating inspired, livable spaces full of midcentury modern charm, without the need for large-scale renovations or a big budget. Photographer Christopher Dibble will share his visual approach for producing images that tell a story, feel natural and lived-in, and are styled in a way that is aspirational yet attainable.
Midcentury Modern Style: An Approachable Guide to Inspired Rooms was created with the typical homeowner in mind, and born out of Karen’s experience working with more than 150 clients to decorate and renovate their homes according to midcentury modern style. The book showcases twelve real homes and families from across the country, ranging from historic midcentury modern homes to smaller spaces like condos to a traditional ranch home. Each chapter is dedicated to a different space within the house, and Karen’s talk will feature practical yet beautiful tips and solutions for incorporating a bit of MCM design into any space of your home.
Attendees can expect to learn creative ideas for creating a comfortable and inviting home that reflects midcentury style, as well as how to best visually showcase midcentury modern spaces in a relatable way.
A book signing will follow the presentation.
