Twenty-five years ago, author Adele Cygelman and photographer David Glomb introduced Palm Springs Modern (1999, Rizzoli), a groundbreaking photography book showcasing the city's signature modernist residential architecture, at an event with a stellar guest list of architects, artists,  preservationists, enthusiasts, and the proud homeowners of the residences featured.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Palm Springs Modern, Modernism Week will host a celebratory reception and book signing at the Max Palevsky residence, the very same location where the book was originally launched.

This stunning residence, designed by Craig Ellwood in 1968, is in the exclusive Little Tuscany area of Palm Springs and sited on a prime lot with views across the valley. Filled with an exceptional collection of 20th-century art and furnishings, this meticulously maintained estate has been retained by its original family and is rarely accessible to the public, making it the perfect venue for this momentous anniversary celebration.

Don't miss out on this exclusive opportunity to immerse yourself in an architectural masterpiece. Join Adele and David in commemorating the 25th Anniversary of their groundbreaking book launch. Enjoy the sounds of the Lance Conrad Jazz Quartet and light catering from On The Mark. Raise a glass of champagne and offer a toast to the continuing success of Palm Springs Modern, an essential addition to the coffee tables and bookshelves of modernist architecture enthusiasts worldwide.

Adele Cygelman is a longtime writer and editor who has covered interior design, architecture, and real estate for numerous magazines, including Architectural Digest and Robb Report. She is also the author of Arthur Elrod, Desert Modern Design (2019), Richard Manion Architecture: Streamlined (2021) and Secret Gardens of Hollywood and Other Private Oases in Los Angeles.
