Samara Joy at Smoke Tree Ranch - Elegant Jazz Dinner Under the Stars

Samara Joy is a two-time Grammy® winning singer—for Best New Artist of the Year and Best Jazz Album of the Year.  Join her at Smoke Tree Ranch for an intimate performance under the stars, cocktails, and a 3 course dinner. How much better could life be?

Your unforgettable evening will begin with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the Ranch House lounge and patios. Sit-down dinner with complimentary wine will feature a sumptuous plate of prime rib and grilled jumbo shrimp accompanied by potatoes au gratin and asparagus.  A vegetarian main course available as well.  As dessert is served, Samara Joy and her renowned jazz trio will begin a 90-minute supper show, an intimate experience evoking the very best of the glamorous midcentury nightlife, all underneath the desert stars. 

About Samara Joy – Her sudden rise in the jazz world stems largely from her 2019 triumphal win at the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition.  In the past year, Samara has premiered at major festivals and theaters around North America and across Europe. Her auspicious debut at the Newport Jazz Festival last July was rewarded with multiple standing ovations.  Her voice, rich and velvety yet precociously refined, has captured the attention of adoring fans like Anita Baker, Regina King and LaKeith Stanfield, inspired glowing reviews from around the world, and is recognized by both discerning jazz aficionados and a new generation of jazz enthusiasts, as a young performer destined for greatness.

While still in college, in July 2021, she released her eponymous debut album, Samara Joy, to great reviews. Since then, her star recognition has soared and Verve Records, the label associated with recordings by immortal singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone, won a bidding war for a contract with Samara Joy.  Last September Verve released her major-label debut album, Linger Awhile, featuring a savory mix of standards and modern jazz, for which, as the industry expected, Samara received not just one, but two Grammy® nominations.  Don’t miss this evening, it’s not likely to happen again!

Things to Know
This event is for ages 21 and older.
This event is mostly outdoors, heaters will be used if necessary, so please dress accordingly. 
Ticketed guests should check-in at the Smoke Tree guard gate no earlier than 5:30 p.m. Guests will not gain access before that time.
At that time tickets and guests will be verified and instructions for driving to the Ranch House will be provided.
Ticketed guests are allowed to drive only from the guard gate to the Ranch House and return, and may not drive elsewhere on the Ranch
Parking is complimentary and near the Ranch House, but some walking may be required depending on where available parking is upon your arrival.
Handicap parking is available., This event is wheelchair accessible.
Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 pm. Sit down dinner at 6:30 pm. 90 minute performance begins 7:30 pm.
