Royal Hawaiian Estates presents “Po’alima Pau Hana Luau” or Friday Happy Hour Luau!
$135 (2.5 hrs) — includes tour of 3-4 tiki inspired homes
Designed by Donald Wexler and Richard Harrison in 1961 for the local Jewish community, this iconic Polynesian-themed oasis was Palm Springs’ first historic residential district, known for its famed “tiki apexes”, “flying sevens”, roofline “teeth”, and “ladder extensions”. Some of Hollywood’s movers and shakers have owned units here, including comedian/actor George Jessel, who (legend has it) regularly hosted Hawaiian-themed poolside parties with Vegas showgirls serving martinis and models floating on giant blocks of ice.
Gather at the west pool for light snacks, cocktails, and wine, featuring our signature mixology creations! Then take a break from the party to tour the interiors of 3-4 tiki-inspired homes. Stroll through the grounds of this recently refurbished, desert-tropical community while sashaying your finest tiki-inspired, South Pacific attire. Then return to the party and enjoy Lokelani's Rhythm of the Islands for live Hawaiian music, hula dancing, and fire twirling! As you depart, stop by the check-in desk to receive a special remembrance gift created by one of our community residents, SHAG! HipaHipa!
Before the cocktail party, consider attending a separate ticketed, relaxing neighborhood interior home tour earlier in the day, featuring 8+ iconic properties.
Event proceeds will support ongoing restoration and modernization of the Royal Hawaiian Estates community.
