Indian Canyons Neighborhood Home Tour

Swing on down to the south end of Palm Springs to tour the magnificent homes of the historic Indian Canyons Neighborhood and enjoy refreshments at the iconic clubhouse designed by Donald Wexler and Richard Harrison. Originally known as the Canyon Country Club, the Indian Canyons Neighborhood was built along the fairways of the first 18-hole championship golf course in Palm Springs in the early 1960s. Residents flocked to this friendly neighborhood for its distinctive architecture, featuring custom homes designed by Stan Sackley, William Krisel, Charles Du Bois, among others. Open floor plans coupled with expansive use of glass characterized these designs. 

Most of the neighborhood's coveted real estate has been restored to reflect its modernist roots. Sunshine, golf and celebrities are woven into the neighborhood's history, making the stories of A-list movie stars with a connection here more than urban legend. Above all, the integration of the desert's natural beauty into the homes is the Indian Canyons neighborhood’s trademark. 

Docents will be on hand before and during the home tour for guided tours of the clubhouse, explaining the history of the club, resort and our community.

Ticket price includes refreshments at the resort’s 1962 clubhouse which features a commanding view of the Walt Disney Fountain, with its 100 ft. jets, set against sweeping vistas of the San Jacinto Mountains.  Docents will be on hand before and during the home tour for guided tours of the clubhouse, explaining the history of the club, resort and our community.

Proceeds from this tour will be used to help improve our community through charitable contributions.

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to tour time to check-in.
This is a driving tour; guest will drive between homes.
This tour is for ages 12 and older.
There is ample street parking.
Photography is at the discretion of the homeowner.
Private homes are not wheelchair accessible.
Please no pets, food or smoking allowed in homes.
Bathrooms in homes are not accessible; clubhouse bathroom will be available.
