Painting and Poetry: Feeling Poem

Brief Description: Have a fun day using paints and poetry, and embark on a creative journey to increase one's creative and emotional expression. This workshop will increase creative and emotional expression by healing and creating through the power of words. Prepare to celebrate spring using watercolors and poetry in the beautiful gardens at Sunnylands. We will create our own poems using a fun technique and use watercolors to express the words through paints. Weather permitting, the workshop will take place outside, sun protection and water is recommended.   

Materials: All supplies are included in the class fee. 

Instructor: Judy Nemer Sklar is an expressive arts facilitator, professional artist, writer, and owner of Creative Life Workshops for Health and Wellness. She holds a master’s degree in art and humanities and is completing her second master’s in Expressive Arts Therapy. She is also an artist-in-residence with the Palm Springs Unified School District. Her workshops integrate the expressive arts and a wellness component to support the well-being of young and old.

Age Restriction: Open to ages 14+ and any skill level.  

Registration: Space is limited and reservations are required. Unregistered guests may not attend.
