Create a living desert terrarium in this horticultural workshop in the Sunnylands gardens. Featuring the wide array of plants that thrive in a desert climate, the workshop will introduce participants to the unique adaptations of cacti, succulents, and more during a brief lecture with a botanical science expert. Led by master gardener Ian Roberts-Santos, participants will then assemble their own terracotta terrarium to take home as a living work of art that reflects the desert ecosystem. Great for hobbyists.
Materials: Gardening gloves required. Hand-pruners and safety glasses are recommended. All plants and potting materials are included in the class fee. Guests will be working with live plants, wire, and gardening tools.
