Details
Join the Beverly Hills Historical Society, Saturday, May 6, for a magical history tour of legendary Rodeo Drive. Noted historian Phil Savenick will highlight the architecture and tell stories about the former sites of the famous Brown Derby restaurant, celebrity night club Romanoff’s, and local Tiki hang-out The Luau. You'll visit landmarked architectural treasures including Paul Williams' MCA Building, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Anderton Court, his only commercial design, and The Beverly Wilshire Hotel, made famous in the movie Pretty Woman. The tour also includes the candy shop that inspired the beloved chocolate factory episode of I Love Lucy.

The free and lavishly illustrated "Beverly Hills Experience” mobile app is an excellent companion to the walking tour. It informs, enhances, and entertains with commentary, still photos, and videos of the legendary spots you'll visit. The app also has a self-guided walking tour of the “Former Homes of the Great Stars" that includes the residences of Lucille Ball, Jimmy Stewart, Barbra Streisand, Ringo Starr, the Gershwin brothers, and many other classic film and TV legends.
