Honey, I'm Back! MORE Classic Television Residences as Never Before Seen
$20 (1.5 hrs)
Marina Coates has a degree in architecture, a passion for classic television, an obsession with set design, and a talent for 3D graphics. She brings it all together in this unique program featuring video tours of accurately recreated residences from our favorite television shows.
Marina’s Honey, I’m Home! was the first Modernism Week auditorium program to sell out in 2024, and proved to be an audience favorite. In 2025, she returns in a larger theater with Honey, I’m Back!—a new collection of tours during which Marina will escort us through the homes of The Munsters, Frasier, The Andy Griffith Show, and The Bob Newhart Show. She’ll guide us through the Connecticut residence of the Ricardos with the return of I Love Lucy, and lead us on a world premiere tour of the home of Laverne & Shirley.
But Honey, I’m Back! isn’t just a nostalgic romp through the familiar. Meticulously researched, it also presents the unfamiliar, like:
- Locations referenced in the shows but never screened
- True or intended colors of black-and-white shows
- Angles unseen on television, including from the actors’ perspective
- Rarely noticed set details
- Accurately rendered ‘fourth walls’—usually unseen because it’s where cameras and crew are positioned
Plus, Honey, I’m Back! features live commentary between tours, celebrity and expert interviews, reviews of set changes over time, a Q&A, and some surprises.
Program producer and host Eric Chiel previously brought to Modernism Week Honey, I’m Home!, Anne Serling’s My Dad, Rod Serling, and Ron Hicklin: The Most Famous Voice You Never Heard Of. For 2025, he continues exploring American popular culture with Honey, I’m Back!: MORE Classic Television Residences as Never Before Seen, and Livin’ the 50s: A Myth America Pageant.
