Atomic Ranch Tours: A Twin Palms Homeowners Journey
$65 (2 hrs)
Nestled in the dreamy Palm Springs neighborhood of Twin Palms Estates, take a tour and learn the story of this 1959 home built by famed midcentury local contractor Thor Frederickson, once a hidden gem and now lovingly preserved and perfectly updated by homeowners with a strong passion for midcentury modern history and style. From the pink front door to the pink kitchen countertops, along with original pink and green bathroom tiles, see how one couple bridged original features to modern updates in a way that perfectly honors the mid-mod aesthetic.
Begin with a tour of the house which boasts floor-to-ceiling glass showcasing a tear drop shaped swimming pool, clerestory windows, flat roofline supported by a span of 36-foot beams, acoustical plaster ceilings, split floor plan, as well as an impressive stone fireplace that anchors the home to the landscape; all with generous unobstructed views of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains. Then join us outside with some refreshing sips and enjoy the signature Atomic Ranch Live poolside chat, featuring Atomic Ranch editor Jickie Torres and the homeowners as they share their journey renovating and decorating this Palm Springs treasure.
